Nanotech Summer Camps

In 1999, the NMT Partnership began offering three-day summer “Nanotech Camps ” for high school students from across Pennsylvania.  These nanotech camps provide secondary school students with an orientation to basic nanofabrication processes and applications, and the opportunity to observe these same nanofabrication processes in the Penn State Nanofabrication Facility.

Nanotech One-day Camps

One-day Nanotech Camps are offered year round by appointment.  These camps include an overview of nanotechnology and a tour of the Penn State Nanofabrication Facility.

To schedule either a one-day or three-day nanotech camp, please contact:

Ms. Lisa Daub
Administrative Support
Phone: 814-865-9635
Fax: 814-865-9400
Email: ldaub@engr.psu.edu

More information on our camps can be found in our Nanotech Camp Brochure [pdf].

Nano Tech Camp classroom The popularity of the nanotech camps is reflected by some of the comments made by campers on the evaluation forms they were asked to complete:

“The program was very well put together and well explained”

“It was extremely interesting”

“It was just pure fascinating.”

Feedback from these evaluations is used to improve the nanotech camp program and to aid in following students’ career paths.
